Spicy Prawns Stir Fry - Easy 7 minute recipe

It doesnt get easier than this Prawns Stir Fry dish. The beautiful sauce is so easy and it goes with any veggies you have in the fridge. All you need is some rice or lettuce to make lettuce wraps or noodles and your stir fry shrimp and veggies dish is good to go!

Ingredients
  

  • 12 large prawns about 1 pound, peeled and deveined
  • 1 stalk of green onions white and green part separated
  • 2 cloves of garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon of vegetarian oyster sauce gluten free
  • 1 tablespoon sweet chili sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of chili crisp1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice2 teaspoon of sesame oil
  • Handful of roasted cashews optional
Serve with:
  • Rice and sauteed vegetables

Method
 

Preparation:
  1. Peel and devein the prawns if not already done.
  2. Finely chop the white part of the green onions and set aside. Slice the green part diagonally into thin strips for garnish.
  3. Mince the garlic cloves.
Cooking:
  1. Heat a pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add a little oil.
  2. Add the white parts of the green onions and garlic to the pan and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add the prawns to the pan in a single layer. 
  4. Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side until they start to turn pink, then flip them over and cook for another 2-3 minutes until fully cooked through. 
  5. Add the vegetarian oyster sauce, sweet chili sauce, and chili crisp. Let it cook for 2 minutes and it should be sticky and glossy. 
  6. Add the sesame oil and lemon juice. 
  7. If you’re putting in cashews, add them now. This step is optional. 
  8. Be careful not to overcook, as prawns can become tough.
Serve:
  1. Once the prawns are cooked, garnish with the sliced green parts of the green onions.
  2. Serve the prawns hot alongside rice and sautéed vegetables.
  3. Enjoy your delicious prawn dish! Adjust the amount of chili crisp according to your desired level of spiciness.
