Smashed Sweet Potato

Only 5 ingredients - Smashed Sweet Potatoes! Picture this: velvety smooth, salty, buttery sweet potatoes smashed to perfection with a sprinkle of cinnamon and a touch of brown sugar for that extra kick of sweetness. Yum! This air fry sweet potato can also be baked for a larger batch.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 sweet potatoes
  • 3 tablespoon of unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon of salt

Method
 

  1. Peel your sweet potatoes.
  2. Cut them into thick 1-inch slices.
  3. Place your sweet potato rounds in boiling water and boil them until they are fork tender. About 10 minutes.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees. 
  5. Strain the sweet potatoes. Put them on a parchment paper-lined air fryer basket or tray.
  6. Smash them using a bottom of a glass.
  7. Melt the butter in the microwave for 30 seconds until completely melted. 
  8. In the butter, add the brown sugar and cinnamon. Mix well. 
  9. Using a spoon, spoon the butter mixture onto the sweet potatoes.
  10. Air fry at 400 degrees for 10 minutes or until crispy and golden brown. 
  11. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Oven Instructions:

Follow instructions, then bake in the oven at 425 degrees for 15 minutes or until crispy and golden brown.
