Honey Ginger Chicken - Easy Air Fryer Chicken Recipe

Honey ginger chicken is a delicious Asian dish that combines honey with the zesty kick of fresh ginger to make the most scrumptious air fryer chicken thighs recipe. The marinade infuses the chicken thighs with a perfect balance of flavors, resulting in a juicy and aromatic main course.

Ingredients
  

  • 5 boneless chicken thighs optional: skinless boneless
  • 2 tablespoon of honey
  • 2 tablespoon sweet dark soy sauce
  • 2 inch ginger jullienned
  • 2 stalks of green onions sliced (white and green parts separated)
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon Chinese 5 spice powder
  • Garnish optional
  • Green part of green onion
  • Sliced red chilis for spice

Method
 

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375 degrees.
  2. Prep the marinade. Combine honey, sweet dark soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, Chinese 5 spice powder,  ginger, and the white part of the green onion.
  3. Marinate for 10 minutes or overnight. You can also omit this step and proceed to air frying after mixing.
  4. Air fry at 375 degrees, skin side down for 20 minutes. 
  5. Flip halfway and let the skin get crispy.
  6. Serve with your favorite vegetable side dish and rice.
