Method
- Step 1: Preheat the Air Fryer
- Start by preheating your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Preheating ensures that your green beans cook evenly and become crispy.
- Step 2: Prepare the Green Beans
- While the air fryer is preheating, wash the green beans thoroughly and trim the ends - OPTIONAL. You can leave them whole or cut them into bite-sized pieces, depending on your preference. Pat them dry with a kitchen towel to remove any excess moisture.
- Step 3: Create the Coating Mixture
- In a mixing bowl, combine the neutral oil, panko bread crumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Combine the mixture well.
- Step 4: Coat the Green Beans
- Toss the green beans in the coating mixture, ensuring they are well coated on all sides.
- Step 5: Air Fry the Green Beans
- Place the coated green beans in the preheated air fryer basket. You may need to cook them in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
- Cook the green beans at 375°F (190°C) for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket or tossing the beans halfway through the cooking time. Keep a close eye on them to prevent overcooking; you want them to be crispy and lightly browned.
- Step 6: Serve and Enjoy
- Once the green beans are golden brown and crispy, remove them from the air fryer basket. Transfer them to a serving platter and serve immediately while they're still hot.
