Asian Boneless Short Ribs Instant Pot

I love this Asian Boneless Short Ribs Instant Pot recipe. Packed with flavor in every bite. With classic Teriyaki flavors, this recipe is a flavor powerhouse!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs boneless short ribs
  • cup sake
  • cup mirin
  • cup soy sauce
  • 2 " ginger
  • 6 garlic cloves
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • Cornstarch slurry 1 tablespoon cornstarch & 4 tablespoon water

Method
 

  1. Prep the beef by removing the bones.
  2. Season with salt and pepper on all sides.
  3. In the instant pot, turn on to sauté function.
  4. Add a little oil and brown the meat on all sides. Get a good sear.
  5. Prep your aromatics and sauce (soy sauce, mirin & brown sugar)
  6. Get rid of excess oil and sauté your ginger and garlic.
  7. Add sake to deglaze the pan for 2 minutes. Make sure you remove the brown bits from the bottom of the pot.
  8. Add the sauce.
  9. Put the lid on and set Instant Pot to 40 minutes.
  10. Let it come to a natural release for 10 minutes or do a quick release.
  11. Remove the meat and set it aside.
  12. Reduce the liquid to the desired thickness. Feel free to add a cornstarch slurry to thicken it up.
