Prepare the Asian BBQ marinade
In a blender, put all the ingredients and blend until smooth.
Prepare the beef
Cut the beef into ½ inch thick strips.
Place the boneless beef shortribs in a large Ziploc bag or a container.
Add the marinade and marinate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
Air Fry Method
Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees.
Air fry the beef for 5 minutes on each side until you get a bit of a char on each side. Refrain from overcrowding as you will steam the beef instead of getting a good sear.
Pan Fry Method
In a large skillet, on medium-high heat, pan-fry the beef for 5 minutes on each side.
Grill/BBQ
Preheat the grill, and barbecue the beef for 5 minutes on each side until you get a nice char.
