Air Fryer Strip Steak

These Air Fryer Strip Steaks are a game-changer! With just a bit of avocado oil and your favorite seasonings, you’ll have tender, flavorful steaks cooked to perfection in minutes. Perfect for any night of the week!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 strip steaks 2 inches thick
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  •  
  • Optional: garlic powder smoked paprika, or your favorite steak seasoning

Method
 

  1. Preheat the air fryer: Set your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and let it preheat for about 5 minutes.
  2. Prepare the steaks: Pat the steaks dry with paper towels. Brush both sides with avocado oil, and generously season with salt, pepper, and optional spices.
  3. Cook the steaks: Place the steaks in the air fryer basket, making sure they don’t overlap. Cook for 10-12 minutes for medium-rare, flipping halfway through the cooking time. Adjust cooking time as needed for your preferred doneness. *see notes

Notes

Rest: Remove the steaks from the air fryer and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
 
Serve and enjoy: Slice the steak against the grain and serve with your favorite sides.
Rare 120-125°F (49-52°C) -- 8-10 minutes
Medium Rare 130-135°F (54-57°C) -- 10-12 minutes
Medium 140-145°F (60-63°C) -- 12-14 minutes
